Agnes Domonkos is a physical actor, theater maker, and pedagogue based in Hungary. She got her Master Diploma in Psychology from the ELTE University of Human Sciences in Budapest. She was interested in movement and drama therapy and through that, she got involved in performing arts. After her studies in physical theatre at Performers House, (Silkeborg, DK) she graduated performance from the London International School of Performing Arts where she studied creating theatre and performance based on the method of Jacques Lecoq. She also finished the Diploma Curriculum of the Moving Academy for Performing Arts (MAPA), Amsterdam. In her work, she focuses on the fully alive body and space, as she is working often site-specific, also using masks, grotesque and object/puppet theatre, and poetic storytelling. She was co-founder and performer of the London based theatre company „Relax Your Face”, then worked as artistic director of MObil TEatr Labor in Budapest, performer and dramatic advisor at „Utcaszak” Street Theatre Creative Community in Budapest, and at EQUINOXE cross-cultural project. Collaborated with Compagne Philipp Genty as a physical performer. Currently, she is co-founder/performer of Ptah Theatre, touring with their award-winning piece, Rose and Alfred. She is also teaching physical theatre through Europe: „EUROMOB” by the Euroculture en Pays Gentaine, FR; Merlin Theatre, Budapest; RS9 Theatre Budapest; Szív Kamara Studio Theatre, Tuzraktér Cultural Centre, Central European University, Budapest, HU B Maluma&Takete Contemporary Dance Centre, Kiev; International Conference of Art Therapy, Kiev, UA; Performers House, DK.
