Dutch mime, theatre maker, teacher (mime, light and scenography) and coach. He was founder and director of Perspect Mime and Technical Theatre company (1969-1981), Mime Studio Haarlem (1981-1985), European Mime Federation (1991-2001), director of Mime Centrum (the Netherlands, Amsterdam, 1985-1991). Ide is also founder and director of MAPA the Moving Academy for Performing Arts (since 1993), and Studio MAPA Nederlands in the past years. Besides coaching and mentoring artists at Studio MAPA Nederlands, he is creating and directing music-theatre productions for the youngest audience.
